Dermot joined the team at Glen Fuels Gorey in 2022 delivering to the home heating, agricultural and commercial sectors.

In a 20,000 litre tanker, Dermot's delivery route covers Gorey, Kilanerin, Ballyfad and Coolgreaney.

Prior to rigid truck driving, Dermot worked as a plasterer for 10 years.

Originally from Courtown, Dermot now lives in Gorey Town.

Dermot maintains that an oil delivery driver must be fit and agile and he trains regularly to keep up with the demands of the job.

Dermot follows football and Formula 1 and he is a keen GAA fan with a passion for hurling and his daughter's camogie club Naomh Eanna.
